The Royal Notary's House

My residence will welcome you in the heart of the medieval city which is the first town in France fot its density of historic monuments per hectare. Built upon XIIth century foundations, my dwelling is composed of 3 separate houses brought together by a front portal in the XVIIth century as well as a flight of stairs situated on the very place of an ancient blind alley leading to the ramparts.

A garden and a private terrace give you access to the bedrooms throught the passing of the ancient rempart of the medieval city. Grounfloor self-contained entrance, no staircase to have access to the bedroom.

Room 1

Big 30 square meter bedroom, 4 meters height under the ceiling antique furniture and wooden floors (French coffered ceiling- walnut/ poplar), double 160 cm large bed, another 140 cm large double bed and a bed are available as well as a single bed. Private shower and lavatories. Access to the rooms through a terrace,the bedrooms look out on the garden.

Big 25 square meter bedroom same antique furniture and wooden floor, a 160 cm large double bed and a single bed, private bathroom and lavatories. Access through a terrace, a XVII th century balcony with a view on the "place de la liberté " ( Freedom square) (Scenery of the Sarlat Drama Festival, every summer, from the end of July to the beginning of august).

Room 3

Suite of 36m², made up of two rooms, one with a double bed of 160 cms broad, the other with two single beds, privative shower and WC.

The historic city all on her own takes a census of sixty six listed monuments and is situated at the epicentre of prestigious pré-historic Unesco protected places of interest and of a myriad of castles which hang together as far as eye can see, making one of the most beautiful touristic framework in the wold with the Sarlat area.
